Hey hey hey. Here's a drawing of Alicia aka Maulkin - one of the superheroes from the comic thats been cooking in my mind for the last 5 years or so. She's a psychic - telepathy, telekineses etc. I built her last night in the RPG mutants and masterminds :) hence my decision to draw her today.

I've been doing these over the past few days. They're fun :)

The change in style at certain points is to show that its Sanballat and Tobiah (the guys in the tent) talking and making fun of the the jews, rather than actual events.

Plus, its fun to draw like a little kid =D

A cookie of anyone can guess the samurai jack episode that inspired me here ^_^

Just a 15 minute sketch of Hit Girl from the incredibly awesome comic book Kick-Ass (with reference picture too for comparison). Who's excited about the upcoming movie release? ME! ^_^

Nehemiah returns after a long time of me neglecting him :) Realised I really needed to get to work on him, and did two more panels today (Monday, for the record). Good, right?

It's my birthday! (And I'll do uni work if I want to....?)

Ah well. My precccccioussss new garphics tablet is super awesome :D I managed to produce 3 finished Nehemiah panels for uni in the space of a few hours.

I sthink I deserve a pat on the back :)

Panel numero two of Nehmiah. He makes an appearance here, as the sad lookinmg guy on the right hand side. :)

I quite like this panel, although I'm probably gonna work on King Artaxerxes a bit more, cause I forgot to add shading to his face and hands - oops! I was up till 2 am colouring in his bling though XD and adapting neghemiah's clothing and physique so he doesn't look like he's wearing a dress lol

Kinda funny now, but last night it was not, let me tell you XD

On a side note - I recently bought Dial A Song - the greatest hits album from They Might Be Giants. And you know what?
It. Is. AWESOME! ^_^ Totally crazy and surreal, but really terrific. I have a love of quirky and odd-ball songs, and their stuff has a nice balance between the wacky and the real. Plus, musically they're really interestign to listen to, with a wide variety of styles and instruments coming into play. They rock - no other way to describe them ^_^ so yeah, go listen to their stuff!

My current especially fav songs: Why Does The Sun Shine? (the Sun is a mass of Incandescent Gas), New York City, and I Should Be Allowed To Think.

Productive-Doodle Day

I was doing some concept sketches for my uni artworks project - a series of bible-based comic strips. There's also some copied Batman artwork in there, just to warm me up a bit.

On the bottom left you can see a sketch of the woman who had a bleeding disease for years, then was healed by touching Jesus' cloak. On the right hand side you can see my attempt at Jesus himself. Notice how he is not a white guy with blue eyes and flowing hair? XD I'm going for a more ethnically correct attempt than is done in some bible animations/pictures. Hope it works out okay... :) Enjoy!
