Till Point Conversations - Sketches

Some sketches for a short comic I'm working on. Will hopefully ink and upload it in the next few days.

Angie Sketch

A sketch of Angie from Gen Up, looking very business-like :)

Alicia Part 1

I want to work on finishing pictures, rather than just sketching in pencil or biro, so I've done this sketch of Alicia, which I will attempt to ink and colour over the next few days :)

Mr Monster

Here is a large monster. The DnD group may or may not be facing him in the next few nights of adventure >=D

Babes on the run

Aaaaaand here's today's doodle - based on a dream Steph had the other day where I was being held against my will somewhere and she came and saved me by beating down some heavily armed men and taking one of their guns XD then we went partying.

Pretty awesome ^_^ I envisioned myself as the getaway driver

Bearded Dragon

This is yesterdays sketch - will upload another before midnight I promise ^_~

Model Sketch

Sketch of a model from a magazine in work today

Cone Of Cold

Quinzel likes hers with a chocolate flake and rasberry ripple sauce ^_^

2 for the price of one - Avatar and Tempest Team

A pretty mediocre sketch of prince Zuko from Avatar - man is that guy hard to draw :P This is yesterdays drawing by the way - couldn't be bothered booting up my comp last night when I could be watching Avatar instead :)

And here's today's doodle - a mock-up for the Tempest Team team-shot I want to do. I think it's pretty good. I need to work on the proportions of Helen and Zack - they don't look quite right sitting down. Need to change Munroe's pose too so she looks more domineering and ominous - plus I think I need to sex up Alicia's pose a little :D She's too static - maybe I can make her lean up againat William or something.

But yeah. Good times.

Mo-Mo

Mo-Mo from Avatar: the Legend of Aang.

Like I said in an earlier post - I'm addicted :D

2 days in one

Forgot to upload this before midnight yesterday, but I did draw it during the day. I was in Largs, topping up my tan =D (As the sketch illustrates) Then I played with my ratties, and then, after midnight, remembered I should have uploaded. Oops....

Here's today's doodle. I'm wanting to do a group shot of my superhero comic team for a competition on DeviantArt, but haven't drawn them in AGES. I really like how the top 3 turned out, bottom three maybe need some work, but I'm getting there :)

LET IT BEGIN!

3 words for you:

DUNGEONS - AND - DRAGONS!

... YEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH! XD

PS: I actually drew a good sketch in work today - first time for everything, right?

Aang

Aang, from the Avatar TV Show. Got lent the season one box set by a friend and am now addicted :D

Gabe and Tycho

I know I never updated yesterday, but I've been playing with my ratties :)

Plus, I uploaded twice the day before, so it evens out

LEEROY JENKINS!

Drew this on my break at work :)

Bible timeline plus various

Uni is done, and so here is a bunch of updates for you. A plethora of pictures! Maybe not enough to account for my recent non-existant updates, but ah well. With my uni career over my main aim is to recommence daily updates, so there should be daily (or at least pretty frequent) pictoral goodies from henceforth!

The 3 images for your viewing pleasure today are a pretty mixed bag. At the top we have my colour coded bible timeline. For building the basic timeline I used a bunch of resources, but mainly the dates and timelines in my study bible (The Christian Growth Study Bible, NIV translation, published by Zondervan) and the bible timeline available to look at here:

http://www.sundayschoolresources.com/timeline.htm

My aim was to condense the knowledge from these two sources into a one-page format that would be visuall easy to grasp. Both of these sources have a lot more detail and are a result of much work and effort - so make sure and check them out when you get the chance :)

The sources for the book-type timeline posted above were mostly from the visual data site Many Eyes:

http://manyeyes.alphaworks.ibm.com/manyeyes/visualizations/bible-books-by-testament-type-and-

and an article on the Old Testament available here:

http://christianteens.about.com/od/understandingyourbible/p/StructureOldTes.htm

The middle pic is the promotional poster for my final year animation, which I displayed at my exhibition.

You can watch the animation here:

The last pic is one I drew last night at probbaly around 2am. It's my imagining of the first time my DnD character Anya the Cleric (who also starred in my animation - she's featured in mind-boggling 3D in the poster above XD ) met Steph's character: Elle the Warlock.

There are sevral things I don't like about it as skecth. One is that Anya looks pretty glaikit and seems to be staring fixatedly at the region just above Elle's head. Another is that she looks about 15, rather than 22 whcih is her actual age XD

However, I like the genral feel of the sketch. I was going for the big contrast between them, which I achieved. Anya with her country-bumpkin freckles, and polite manners and positivity, and Elle with her laid back, femme fatale cool-ness. If she were any more hip she'd put on a pair of sunglasses while walking away from an explosion XD

Anyway, enjoy!
